1 Appearance It occurs as White, yellowish-white or greyish-white powder or granules, slightly hygroscopic.

(B) It complies with the limits of the assay.
3 Solubility It is practically insoluble in water, soluble in acetone, in formic acid and in a mixture of equal volumes of methanol and methylene chloride, practically insoluble in ethanol (96%).
4 Acidity Not more than 3.0 mL of 0.01 M sodium hydroxide is required to change the colour of the indicator.
5 Loss on drying Not more than 2.0%.
6 Total ash Not more than 0.1%.

(A) acetyl groups
(B) butyryl groups
(A) Not less than 2.0% to not more than 30.0% (dried substance).
(B) Not less than 16.0% to not more than 53.0% (dried substance).

PACKAGING

MOLCEL® CAB is packed in HDPE bag or HDPE drum with double PE liners inside and is provided with a barcoded label and a tamper-evident seal.

SHELF LIFE, STORAGE AND PACKING

The shelf life is 3 years. It is stored in an airtight container.
